Happy FilmSpark Friday!
Qwen 2, Grok Imagine, Vidu Q3, ShotList View & More ⚡️
Hey Everyone!
Another Friday, another massive update to FilmSpark.
Two builds this week. New image models, new video models, a brand new way to view your storyboards, and the kind of shot-level control that makes your prompts dramatically better without writing a single extra word. Let’s get into it.
Here’s what shipped this week:
1. Qwen 2 Image Models Two new image models just dropped. Qwen 2 Image and Qwen 2 Image Pro are now available for image generation and editing. More models means more options for finding the look and style that fits your project.
2. Grok Imagine We also added Grok Imagine models for image and video generation and editing. Another powerful tool in your creative arsenal.
3. Vidu Q3 Video Models New video models are live. Vidu Q3 and Vidu Q3 Turbo give you more options for video generation — with Turbo offering faster output when speed matters.
4. ShotList View for Storyboards This one is a customer request! (send us yours, we listen!). You can now switch to a List View in Storyboards by clicking the icon to the left of the Size slider in the top right corner. See all your shots in a clean, scannable list — edit fields, create new shots, duplicate shots, and manage your sequence without scrolling through cards.
5. Shot Prompt Enhancements: Atmosphere, Color Palette & Technical Finish Three new fields have been added to Image Shot Details: Atmosphere, Color Palette, and Technical Finish. These let you dial in the mood, color, and render quality of every shot without cramming it all into your prompt text. The platform builds it into the generation for you. Find them in the Storyboard Shot UI.
6. Default Advanced Settings for Image Models You can now set default advanced settings for any image model — negative prompts, seed numbers, and more — that apply to every image you generate. Set it once, and every shot in your project inherits the same baseline. Consistency at scale.
7. Add Actor from Library Adding an existing Actor to a project from My Library now imports all Actor Description fields. No more re-entering details. Your characters travel between projects fully intact.
8. Default Image Model for Scene Composer You can now select a default image model when starting a new Scene Composer project. One less decision to make every time you start fresh.
New Tutorial! If you missed Disconnect from Story when we shipped it last week — now’s the time. We just dropped a full tutorial walking you through how to create shots independent of your script, add new actors and locations on the fly, and iterate until your story is exactly right: Watch the Disconnect from Story Tutorial →
Fixes & Improvements
In Storyboards, videos generated in the Shot Video tab and the Shot SFX/Voice tab now both appear in History for SFX/Voice videos
Images and Videos now have “Date Created” timestamps in history details (for new generations)
Fixed an issue with using arrow keys to navigate text fields in History
We can’t wait to see what you create!
